Health Myth: Heart Disease Is Similar In Men And Women

Men and women share many of the same risk factors for heart disease; however there are some significant differences. First of all women tend to develop heart disease an average of 10 years later than men. Women also have a greater chance of dying from the disease.

In fact heart disease is the number one killer of women. For that reason women especially should talk to their doctors about life style changes in order to lower their risk of developing coronary artery disease.
